All of Elisa Valentine’s works are rooted in the exploration of word and image and the nature of their relationship. This theme can be found not only on her canvases but also in her workshops, within an online story platform she founded that has expanded into a charitable product line and in her books, the first of which was published in 2020.
After the completion of a program with the Museum of Modern Art in New York she launched ‘pen & p a i n t’, an investigation of the cerebral word & the sensory image through the application of writing & painting. She then went on to found an online platform where people were invited to share stories of connection inspired by a single letter. The publication her first book, the nature of She, explores Mother Nature and the nature of the feminine. Her second book, holding Picasso, was released January 1, 2025.
